NWSA Visual Art Booster Club Newsletter 

Fall 2021

 

Hello Visual Art families! As we continue to live with the pandemic and all the added stress it places on our children, teachers and administrators, we thank you for supporting our booster club.  Your involvement will certainly circle back to your child!

 

Welcome our new art teacher! A native of Charlotte, Ms. Spencer graduated from UNCC in 1996 with a degree in Studio Art. She continued her education at the University of Alabama completing graduate coursework in Book Arts, focusing on hand binding and letterpress printing. After teaching ceramics at two local studios for three years, she returned to UNCC in 2020 for her Graduate Teaching Certificate in K-12 Visual Art. She’s excited to begin her teaching career at Northwest School of the Arts for the 2021-22 school year!

 

Join us for our first VAB family outing.  We will meet at 600 South Kings Drive on Saturday, Oct 30 at 3:00p.m. for the Kings Drive Art Walk.  All students must have an adult with them.

Raffle tickets for this beautiful 16”x20”, “Blue Hydrangeas” oil on canvas by Patti Moore can be purchased through our PayPal link. Each $5 donation will generate your name on a slip of paper; the winning name will be drawn on 10/8/21.
