GUIDELINES

Welcome, Artists! Students from ages 13 and up may submit artwork in one or more categories. There is no limit on the number of submissions in each category except Photography (limit of 17 works) and Senior Portfolio (limit of 2 portfolios). Works are anonymously evaluated by panels of professional artists, Art faculty, and K-12 Art educators on the dimensions of originality, technical skill, and personal voice or vision.

To get started, create an account in the portal. It is your choice to associate the account with your school and/or educator. Educators- you will also need to create your account and associate it with your school or program, even if you have entered in previous years.

To be ready for adjudication, artwork and identifying info must be uploaded, permission must be granted by a parent/guardian, and the work paid for on or before Friday, December 15, 2023. New this year- the permission form is fully digital! No need to upload scans of paper forms.

The portal accepts credit card payments via Stripe. (Educators- if your school/PTA is paying for multiple entries from different students, an invoice can be created to accept a bulk payment by credit card or check. Please reach out to me personally for details.)

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Submissions for the 2024 Scholastic Art Awards will be accepted until Friday, December 15, 2023.

Regional winners are announced in late January and exhibited at the Mint Museum in Uptown Charlotte February thru April.

National winners are announced in March and their work displayed in galleries in New York City in June.
